Anne Celeste Heche - an American actress who starred in various genres of film as well as theatre and television was a well known American. She is most well-known for playing Lieutenant Sheba in the Battlestar Galactica television series (1978-1979). Her mother is actress June Lockhart. The career of Lockhart began when she was a child. For T is for Tumbleweed, Lockhart's first film role came when she was just four years old. The short film on the subject was chosen for nomination by the Academy Awards. The mother and daughter spent much of their time on set, learning about the industry. Lockhart played in numerous episodes of Lassie. Dora in Jory, 1972 was her first film. She played the daughter of Joan Crawford as a character in The Sixth Sense, a 1972 TV series. Joan was in the episode in her final appearance. Anne had reportedly turned down Laurie Strode (John Carpenter's 1978 Halloween thriller) as well as Jaime Lee Curtis took the part. John. Carpenter says that he was interested in her playing the character but she declined it down. Anne cannot remember John Carpenter having contacted her or even offering her the job. One of her agents could have rejected the role for her, but with no knowledge. Glen Larson sent her an early draft of a script to play an actor in the 1978 television series Battlestar Galactica. Her initial reaction was to decline the role because the character didn't seem to be strong enough. Glen later wrote a part to her, which featured a strong character called Sheba. The Living Legend, the first twenty-five pages of which she read, was immediately accepted. The show lasted only one episode.
